Haringey Council has announced the six shortlisted companies for the £450millions High Road West scheme. This project aims to provide the residents of Tottenham with more than 1,400 new homes and a major new public square.

The shortlisted companies are: Barratt Developments; Countryside Properties; Lendlease Development; Linkcity (Bouygues); Stanhope, and Taylor Wimpey.

A final decision on the partner for the 11-hectare project running next to the new Spurs stadium is expected by mid-2017. The scheme is just one part of the regeneration of Tottenham, with 10,000 houses and 5,000 new jobs aiming to be created by 2025.

The new plans include a new public space linking a revamped £14million White Hart Lane Station to the new football stadium with facilities such as a public park, restaurant, library and learning centre, to be used by the local community.
